[Finland isn't the only one gimping around town. Scout got stabbed in the leg several times by the angry nation. He went to Fran to get it stitched it up, but thought maybe just offing himself would be better than 2-4 weeks recovery time. The good doctor disagreed, and while fixing up the Scout's leg made sure he would not harm himself or others during his recovery.

Lovely.

Not only that, he hasn't been able to sleep either (chemically-induced nap nonwithstanding). It's not something he gets much of anyway, usually, but since he's hurt he figured he might as well catch up. But he just lays there, wide awake. What's up with that?

So now, Scout can be found in a few places looking a bit miserable:

- Sitting on his lawn, playing catch alone. Mostly using the house and fence to bounce the baseballs off of. Occasionally one goes wild towards his own house, or neighbor's, or to a passerby causing damage. He seems unconcerned.

- Stopping by the homes of his BLU teammates: Sniper, Spy, Medic and even Engie. Every last one of them is droned. This does not help his mood.

- Downtown in the attempt to get Vince a present for his birthday. He's got crutches for any extended time walking in the hopes to not pop any stitches, but Scout's never been known for his patience. He also has no idea what to buy a guy for his birthday, but this is Vince so it's almost kinda like buying something for a chick. At any rate, he feels weird buying him clothing or something, and since he doesn't like sports, Scout looks a bit lost.

- at RED Sniper's gun range, taking out targets with his pistol at an alarming rate. Gotta vent somehow!

[Hearing someone enter the rec center behind him, Scout stops shooting and removes his ear guards. He's actually wearing those today - he doesn't need to be deaf on top of slow.]

Huh? Oh, what, a pistol? Dime 'a dozen, if yer a guy. The general store won't sell 'em ta chicks though. Ya can get rifles too though, an' ammo.

[Scout may only be from 10 years in the future of Mayfield, but he's all about ass-kickin' ladies with guns.]

I got extra pistols, but they're back at my house. Also? I got this.

[He tosses her the pistol, then spins his shotgun around on his finger before firing two shots at his paper target. It's torn to shreds, but he doesn't look amused.]

Klaus keeps going on about different realities, and stuff. I don't understand it.

[She gives him a date around 100 years earlier, since the comic is extremely vague on that score.]

Europa's where anyone who matters is. I've never been to the Americas, but it's what everyone says.

[She takes the pistol with a savage grin and fires at the target. That feels good. She's been unarmed for too long.]

Not fun against targets, either.

Death ray? Sounds like somethin' my bosses back home'd be interested in. Still, sounds like somethin' out of an old cheesy movie!

There's, like, a ton of weird sciency guys in town. Probably could make somethin' fun, but really, whattaya gonna do with it? Kill people? they just respawn the next day, ya know.

Not that he would. He says I'm not allowed to kill anyone. And I don't care if they come back. It would make me feel better.

Can you believe what they expect me to wear? A skirt like that wouldn't last five minutes in a good airship battle.

[She, of course, is still wearing Klaus's clothes, tightly belted in and cuffed up.]

Ah yeah, yer like, from way back when. Movies are like... well, tha next time ya go home, turn on the TV and you'll see what I mean.

I'm startin' ta think that we ain't from even close ta the same place. Cuz if there was airships in my history books, I prob'ly woulda paid more attention in school! That sounds pretty sweet.

Yeah, Klaus says no one else's world sounds anything like ours. No one else has the Spark, for one thing. I can't see how anything ever gets built.

Kinda figured ya weren't here long. I've been here... geez, nearly 6 months now. Feels like forever.
