[Finland isn't the only one gimping around town. Scout got stabbed in the leg several times by the angry nation. He went to Fran to get it stitched it up, but thought maybe just offing himself would be better than 2-4 weeks recovery time. The good doctor disagreed, and while fixing up the Scout's leg made sure he would not harm himself or others during his recovery.

Lovely.

Not only that, he hasn't been able to sleep either (chemically-induced nap nonwithstanding). It's not something he gets much of anyway, usually, but since he's hurt he figured he might as well catch up. But he just lays there, wide awake. What's up with that?

So now, Scout can be found in a few places looking a bit miserable:

- Sitting on his lawn, playing catch alone. Mostly using the house and fence to bounce the baseballs off of. Occasionally one goes wild towards his own house, or neighbor's, or to a passerby causing damage. He seems unconcerned.

- Stopping by the homes of his BLU teammates: Sniper, Spy, Medic and even Engie. Every last one of them is droned. This does not help his mood.

- Downtown in the attempt to get Vince a present for his birthday. He's got crutches for any extended time walking in the hopes to not pop any stitches, but Scout's never been known for his patience. He also has no idea what to buy a guy for his birthday, but this is Vince so it's almost kinda like buying something for a chick. At any rate, he feels weird buying him clothing or something, and since he doesn't like sports, Scout looks a bit lost.

- at RED Sniper's gun range, taking out targets with his pistol at an alarming rate. Gotta vent somehow!

Unfortunately... probably not much. It's not like you can file a law suit that means anything here, considering how the town itself treats us.

We can get drinks? Unless you're taking medication on top of everything...

Why are people so concerned with dyin' here? I mean, everyone respawns all fine 'n' dandy the next day, right? [Death holds little meaning to RED and BLU employees.]

Yikes. And with a name like Demo, he's in charge of demolitions? That's frightening.

Depends on what kind of drink you want to make. Scientifically speaking, it involves some form of carbohydrate to ferment so the sugars turn into ethanol. You'd need some kind of yeast and a closed container... actually, we could probably manage some sort of crude brewing system, if we really wanted to. Not beer, but something.

[Ha, he'll have no idea where to look in the library. Finding anything outside of what's stereotyped to you is tough, but booze-making might be considered manly enoguh of a pursuit that something might be available.

At any rate, the Dewey Decimal System is beyond the Scoot.]

[Ema's counting on the stereotype to find the book, actually. She has a feeling that brewing alcohol is not considered a very feminine activity.]

Of course I do.

Sciences are in the 500s. That's probably our best bet, since fermentation is a scientific process. My guess is probably somewhere in the 540s--chemistry. Follow me.

[It's nice to actually be able to go to the science section and find something other than "How to Help Your Children Win the Science Fair!" It's also nice to go to the science section period--Ema's last few trips to the library have been to do research on etiquette, much to her dismay.]

[Well, thanks to having ol' Scoot with you, I imagine getting the right books is easy. Now the hard part: getting Scout to read. He'd flip through a few books making a face.]

[In contrast, Ema is fascinated--she's skimming the books for now, but she's already pulled a few for Scout to check out.] Not especially. I've seen far more complicated procedures, and we should be able to brew something with materials we can get here rather easily. Fruit juice, yeast, a jug, a balloon... yeah, this is very doable.

Basement might be better--it'll be less exposed to the elements that way. It won't be ready to drink for at least a few days, but it's better than nothing.

((I am all down for terrible hilarity. :D They could throw a part or something and brew all the booze themselves, which means that if they screw something up/make it too strong, we have a variety of victims people affected. XD ))
