27th Inning

[Zip! Zoom! What is that blue blur? Naturally, it's Scout! And today he's even faster and more energetic than ever, if that's even possible. He's laughing wildly, almost maniacally, jumping from rooftop to car to tree and keeps going.]

Un-freakin'-touchable!

[That's because he got sent a certain atomic soda sent after they got back from Soviet Mayfield. 24 cans of caffeinated bliss! Of course, he should be rationing his supply, but after depriving a caffeine junkie for so long, only so much restraint can be shown.

So, Mayfield, be treated to a happy blue blur today. He's running past your windows, denting your cars, rattling your trees, even running right through your house if you leave the door open for more than a second. And of course, mocking you as he zooms past.

Later he can be found in the park, exhausted but still happy. Wearing himself out, he's asleep under a tree, his usual smirk still on his face.]

[Finland stopped just short of turning the corner and pressed his back to the wall.

So the Scout was faster then him. Big deal. It was Finland's turn to get the jump on this guy and he could wait as long as it took.]

[Scout peeks out, missing Finland around the corner, and tries to make a break for it. He's slowed down considerably, but he's got his gun in hand, and is trying to make a break for it down the street.]

[Had Finland noticed the gun, he might not have done what he did. Or maybe he would have. Hard to say.

But Finland waits until Scout's mad dash and dives sideways with his elbow out, in an attempt to body check him down to the ground.]

[Scout's timing is a bit off thanks to the slow-down, and takes the check to the side. it sends him tumbling, but he manages to hold on to his gun.]

[Finland's first plan was to pin Scout down, stick either knife or bottle under his stupid neck and make him say he's sorry.

Now the only plan is to get the gun away, or at least to where he can't be shot. Finland attempts to wrestle it out of Scout's hands. He dropped the bottle to give him a better grip, but is still clutching the knife.]

[Not for long, if Finland has anything to say about it.

The kicking makes him grunt in pain and lose his grip just a bit. His solution? Attempt to punch Scout in the face! With the hand holding his knife, of course.]

[Smack! Punch to the face! Good thing you let go of that gun though, cuz now Scout is going to attempt to knock you away by hitting you with the end of hit shotgun.

He's not looking to end this fight anytime soon. This is fun.]

[Finland, on the other hand, would be happy to end this fight pretty quickly, because he's out-weaponed.

Finland stumbles back, but is nowhere near ready to give up. He come at Scout with the knife, trying to stab him in the face or at least some vital parts around there.]

Scout wishes he had brought his bat instead. That would have been way more fun.

He just almost back to normal now, and dodges just in the nick of time - to keep his throat from being slashed. Finland managed to clip his ear though. Scout rolls sideways and will try to hit Finland with the gun again, this time in the ribs. Unless Finland really has him cornered, he's not going to shoot.

Scout naturally yammers at you the whole time, too.]

Oh, nice one, pally! So close this time! But I've gotten worse cuts shavin'! C'mon, put yer back inta it!

[Getting hit with the gun hurts and he's getting more and more frustrated by Scout's refusal to get stabbed.

Finland goes for the gun again. He hasn't been shot yet but he's not eager to take the chance. With his other hand he tries to stab Scout, this time aiming lower.

Chest or stomach. It doesn't matter. The stabbing motion is already a little awkward while he's trying to get the gun away, and it's not easy to get much strength behind it.

...And if Scout doesn't quit making noise, Finland's fixing to go for his tounge next.]

[Unless the knife's being held by a RED Spy, Scout's pretty good at avoiding being stabbed.

Scout's doing his best to block Finland's attacks while keeping a hand on his gun. It's getting a bit awkward for him, too.]

There's a less-than-dignified squealy noise from Scout, who, despite the pain, is trying his best to hold on to his gun while pointing it at you. The latter is definitely not working.]

[Finland rarely makes noise, so the fact that he's lightly snickering right now means he thinks your pain is hilarious.

Now that you're a bit more incapacitated, Finland is going to try to knock him to the ground and, if that succeeds, pin him there with his boot.

Also, he gives a sharp tug on the gun in another attempt to wrench it away.]

[Down Scout goes, and the fun has ceased. NOW he's mad. When you grab the gun, he fires it. Whether it hits Finland or not, it should be enough to scare him off for the moment so he can get back up.]

[Finland had the gun pointed away from him went it went off, so it just tore a good-sized scar in the house. Still the fact that you fired it makes him jump back, and off Scout.

"Scared" really isn't the right word. If anything, he looks more angry. If he didn't look he'll kill you if given the chance, he sure as hell does now.]

[He still has one shell left in there, thanfully, and as Scout scrambles to his feet, he keeps the shotgun pointed at Finland.]

[Finland may be outgunned and not near as fast, but his pride will not let him back out. Not that he has any idea what to do, but if Scout wants to finish what he started, fine then.

He gets ready to dive or duck however he needs to, holds up his hand, and motions for Scout to bring it on.]

[The gunshot would already have attracted some unwanted attention, and the last thing Scout wants is to get droned over *this* guy. Totally not worth it. He'll just have to get him to give up. Scout suddenly takes off, trying to run behind Finland, attempting to kick him over. He plans to just get him on the ground and point the gun at his neck, and maybe that'll get him to knock this shit off.]

[Finland really hadn't been expecting that. He turns, trying to follow the Scout, but takes the full force of the kick to his side. He managed to break the potentially painful tumble with his arm, but he's still on the ground, and probably can't get up before the Scout gets to him.]

[A foot on your chest and the muzzle on your nose. Scout leans in.]

[Just glares for a few moments, breathing heavily. His eyes dart to the gun and back to Scout.

And then he reaches up and grabs Scout's ankle with one hand and uses the other one to poke his knife into your thigh. Not hard enough to cut it, but enough that you can feel it.

It's hard to run when someone hamstrings you, and, even with a gun in his face, Finland is NOT about to surrender his pride to some squirrely little loud-mouthed braggart.]

That's the worst injury a Scout could endure. He'd be down for weeks!
Scout tried to bat off Finland's knife-wielding hand away with the gun, and shake him self free of his grip.]

[Finland, for all the disadvantages he has in this fight, has a strong grip and isn't planning to let go any time soon. The gun is a different story, knocking his knife-hand away and stinging besides. He keeps trying for your thigh, though, or back of the knees or really anywhere he can really. Now that he knows this is pissing you off he's not going to quit.

And he'll take your compliment, Scout Thank you.]
